Three Chemical Engineering Undergrads Win National Scholarship
June 2, 2009Tau Beta Pi, the Engineering Honor Society, has named three LSU Cain Department of Chemical Engineering juniors as 2009-2010 scholars.
Juniors Robert Ingram, Danica Nguyen and Stephen Wilson will all be receiving scholarships from the national chapter of Tau Beta Pi for the upcoming academic year in the amount of $2,000 each. The scholarships are awarded on the basis of academic achievements, campus leadership and service and the promise of contributions to the engineering profession. Consideration is also given to academic need and academic commitment.
"We are delighted and proud that 3 of our outstanding students are receiving this national recognition and congratulate them on this exemplary achievement," said Kalliat Valsaraj, chair of the Cain Department of Chemical Engineering.
