College of Engineering Launches New Website

In November 2008, a College of Engineering (CoE) website committee met with LSU Design Services to redesign the CoE home page, secondary and tertiary pages. The goal of the new website is to provide structure and visual appeal, keep users interested and strategically ease navigation.
With the assistance of LSU Design Services and CoE Division of Engineering Services, the new website is structured and informational with its fluid and exciting interface which has also tightened areas regarding hierarchy, layout and navigation. Clutter of the links has been substantially reduced and the site has been transformed to serve as a more attractive and modern web experience.
The color scheme and layout abides by LSU standards, and reflects the LSU home page with a rotating main highlight feature and news highlights underneath.
A continuing work in progress, this new initiative helps the College move towards the goal of having a website and image that is fresh and engaging, yet structured.
