A recent Forever LSU advertisement featured College of Engineering Associate Professor in Mechanical Engineering, Dr. Ram Devireddy. The advertisement focused on Devireddy’s research accomplishments, with his focus on cryogenically freezing ovarian tissue to give cancer patients a greater chance to have children in the future. The following is a response from Professor Devireddy regarding the advertisement and the motivation behind his work:

“I was extremely honored to be chosen to represent the department and the college, for the LSU Forever AD campaign. The funds raised by the campaign are essential to maintain and expand the University's research and academic capabilities. I believe, with a constructive expenditure of the funds to improve the campus infrastructure, we can be counted among the top universities around the region and the country. Personally, I derive extreme satisfaction in knowing that my research helps to improve the quality of life for cancer survivors and that it gives them a greater chance to experience the joys and tribulations of having children.

”The Forever LSU advertisement was prominently displayed in the following publications: In Register, Baton Rouge Business Report, Cornerstone magazine, LSU Alumni Magazine and Healthcare Highlights.
