Scholarship Banquet Honors ECE Students

The Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department held its inaugural Scholarship Banquet at the LSU Faculty Club on November 14, 2008. This dinner recognizes the outstanding scholars and supporters of the ECE Department and allows the donors to mingle with the students they assist.

The banquet was presided over by Dr. Jorge Aravena, Interim Department Chairman. Mr. John Scalzo, Instructor and ECE’s Undergraduate Advisor, presented the undergraduate scholarships while Dr. Ramachanran “Vaidy” Vaidyanathan, Associate Professor and Graduate Student Advisor, presented the graduate scholarship recipients.

Over 20 students, ranging from sophomores to graduate students, and nearly all ECE scholarship donors attended the banquet. The names of the students and the scholarships received are listed below along with photos from this year’s dinner.
