Valsaraj Receives ES&T Award

Kalliat Valsaraj has been selected by the journal of Environmental Science & Technology (ES&T) to receive its Excellence in Review Award.  ES&T selected Valsaraj for this award in recognition of his service in providing scholarly and timely reviews to the journal.  To showcase this recognition, ES&T will publish his name, affiliation, and photo in one of their upcoming issues.

Valsaraj is Department Chair and Charles & Hilda Roddey Distinguished Professor of Chemical Engineering in the Cain Department of Chemical Engineering.  He has served as a reviewer for more than 35 journals and is currently a member of the editorial review board for three journals: Journal of Air and Waste Management Association, Environmental Monitoring and Assessment, and Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry.  In addition he is the author of the book Elements of Environmental Engineering:  Thermodynamics and Kinetics, currently in its second edition, and has written more than 130 articles that have appeared in peer-reviewed journals.
