In partnership with LSU's College of Engineering, the Manship School of Mass Communication's Reilly Center for Media & Public Affairs will host Professor Gavriel Salvendy as a 2011 Spring Public Policy Fellow.

Salvendy is a professor of Industrial Engineering at Purdue University and Chair Professor and Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering at Tsinghua University, Beijing, P.R. of China. Salvendy will discuss how to increase research and economic impact on a regional, national and international stage.

Salvendy has played a significant role in aiding the economic productivity of China.

The lecture will be held on February 16, at 5 p.m. in the Holliday Forum of LSU’s journalism building.
