For the past five years (2003-2007), LSU College of Engineering Fall enrollment averages 16.22% of women at the undergraduate level and 21.12% at the graduate level. For the past five years (2004-2008), the College of Engineering has graduated an average of 16.21% women at the undergraduate level, 19.30% at the Master’s level and 17.54% at the Doctoral level. For the year (2006) prior to the establishment of WEP, the national fall undergraduate enrollment was 17.2%, and the fall graduate enrollment was 21.8%. In 2006, nationally, 19.3% of all Bachelor’s degrees in engineering were earned by women; 22.7% Master’s; 19.6% Doctorates.
