STEM-ENG2 Scholars for Success
The mission and goal of the S-STEM: ENG^2 Scholars for Success program is to provide women and minorities additional financial resources and support to be successful in engineering. The program has also helped the college of engineering to recruit and attract talented but financially needy students from other states who might not have had the opportunity to attend LSU. For the 2010-2011 academic year 30 sophomore, junior and seniors are supported with scholarships and services.
The cornerstone of the S-STEM scholar program is a professional skills seminar series entitled Engineering for Success . This program is designed to promote professional and personal growth as well as to highlight the value in working with people who have diverse interest, backgrounds and ideas.
