University-Industry Partnership Matrix
Understanding that not all forms of industrial reserach are the exact same, LSU has developed the "Spectrum of Private and Industry Funding" which allows companies to select the form of research they would like to engage the College in. The matrix found below and templates provided are intended to expediate the process and remove a few of the obstacles with regards to Industry-University partnerships.

(1)- “Academic” as opposed to “commercial” as defined in case law
(2) – “Stewardship report” reflects the results of funding or use of funds. For example, if a company provided unrestricted funds to a Department, a report on how the funds were used and any results such as competition placements associated with the use of funds. A “technical report” refers to reports that reflect any scientific or technical results from the funded project
